Fix A Friend Spay Neuter Clinic was created by Adopt an Angel. We are a nonprofit spay/neuter clinic whose mission is to provide low cost, quality spay/neuters to our community in an effort to reduce pet overpopulation in Southeastern NC. To date, our expert veterinarians and staff have performed over 130,000 surgeries since 2013. We are good at what we do because that is all we do! Vaccinations and microchips can also be done at the time of surgery.

We provide services to the general public as well as to 40 rescues and shelters that drive as far as 2 hours from every direction. We have a small staff in place. Be prepared for longer wait times at drop off and pick up due to us processing and spaying or neutering as many as 100 animals per day. Wait times at drop off and pick up can be up to one hour or longer. Please be patient with us and plan accordingly for these longer wait times. 

Spay/Neuter Surgery Appointment Information:

A $10 nonrefundable deposit for dog surgeries and a $3 nonrefundable deposit for cat surgeries is required at the time of surgery appointment request. If you have a voucher for the surgery, deposits are still required and will be refunded to you when you provide your printed voucher at surgery drop off or it can be applied to other services you've selected that are not covered by the voucher.
Please be sure the surgery date you choose works for your schedule. We DO NOT RESCHEDULE appointments. If you need a different surgery date, please call the clinic, leave a message to cancel your surgery appointment and you will then be able to go online and request a new surgery appointment date for that same pet that works better for you. Your original surgery appointment deposit is forfeited and you will have to pay another deposit for your new surgery appointment.
A separate appointment request is required for each pet.
All surgery appointment requests are reviewed and approved by the medical team. It may take up to 7 days for your SURGERY appointment request to be approved. PLEASE BE PATIENT! You will receive an email confirmation when your surgery appointment request has been approved. We get hundreds of appointment requests each week and it is time consuming but we are getting to you. We promise!
You can request additional services such as specific vaccinations, microchips, etc when making your surgery appointment request. You can also add those on at drop off at your surgery appointment. Just remember to let them know at check in.
Please bring your pet's current Rabies vaccination certificate with you at drop off. Just the Rabies tag is not sufficient.
The remainder of your balance is due at pick up. We accept cash, Visa/Mastercard (debit and credit). We do not accept checks or Care Credit.
Take home pain meds are $15 and mandatory for all dog surgeries and will be included in your total bill.
E-Collars are $12 plus tax and mandatory for all dog surgeries and will be included in your total bill.

Wellness Appointment Information:

For a limited time, the skilled veterinarians of Fix a Friend Spay/Neuter Clinic will offer more opportunities for routine, preventative care for your pets. As we are not a full service veterinary hospital, we cannot diagnose or treat ill and/or injured pets during wellness appointments.

The wellness exam fee of $25 is required at the time of appointment request and is the nonrefundable deposit.

The following vaccinations are offered during wellness visits: Rabies, Canine Distemper/Parvo, Canine Bordetella, Canine Leptospirosis and Feline Distemper, Feline Leukemia.
The following services are offered during wellness visits: Canine heartworm test, nail trims (we are not able to do nail trims that require sedation during wellness exams), fecal test/deworming, and ear cleaning.
We do offer Microchips that can be included with other services during a Wellness Visit but you do not need a Wellness appointment to get just a microchip. Microchips only with no other services are available as a walk in service on surgery days (Monday - Thursday) between 10:00am and 1:00pm.
